Our TAGteach™ certified staff consists of highly regarded professional dancers and performing artists, each with exceptional teaching experience. Our teachers cultivate enthusiasm in our students through their own joy in dance and out of their sincere love for children (we TAG, we don’t nag!).

Laura-Jean Gendreau

Laura-Jean Laura-Jean received her degree in Dance Education and Certification to instruct dance from Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill, MA. She has been a performer, choreographer and teacher at Northern Ballet Theatre Dance Centre (formerly Granite State Ballet) for the past three years. A seasoned performer in both classical and contemporary genres, her lovely lyric style and precise musicality was featured as solo work in NBTDC's Coppelia, Sleeping Beauty, Nutcracker, Clara's Christmas Dream, Paquita as well as modern, jazz, and tap original choreographed pieces. She has danced with the Youth Ensemble and other freelance dance groups in a variety of venues around New England. As well, LJ is a member of Touché Taps after having refined her tap technique under Susie Michaud, a renowned instructor in the Massachusetts area and studied the technique of Lester Horton under Michelle Deane. LJ has performed featured roles as well as choreographed extensively at NECC. She was a principle dancer in Tina Cassidy's, Pleasure in the Heart that Longs, at the American College Dance Festival. LJ is super excited to be returning to A Dancer's Dream this season as our Ballet & Pointe instructor!
